ARK AIR™ TRISUIT
Tested in the wind tunnel
We can talk about speed. Or we can measure it.
As part of the development of our new ARK Tri Suit AIR, we took our prototypes to the wind tunnel at Mid Sweden University in Östersund, Sweden to put them through controlled aerodynamic testing against three other triathlon suits.
ARK Proto 2, the final prototype of the ARK Tri Suit AIR, recorded the lowest aerodynamic drag of every suit tested.
With a measured aerodynamic drag of 29.239, it performed 0.9–4.3% lower in wind resistance compared with the other suits in the test.
The ARK Air™ Trisuit has been developed in close collaboration with pro triathlon athletes, and it’s already shaping up to be exceptional. Engineered for comfort, speed, and precision, every detail has been refined to perform at the highest level.
But speed isn’t only about what happens around the fabric. It’s also about what happens through it.
The material was therefore tested for air permeability at 200 Pa, recording 606 mm/s. In simple terms: the fabric allows a high amount of air to move through it, helping release heat and moisture when the intensity goes up.
- Low drag
- High air permeability
- Built for racing
There is still more to come from this project, but seeing the numbers confirm what we have been working towards feels pretty damn good.
